About

Coconut Grove predates Miami's incorporation; its first post office opened in 1873. The Barnacle, Ralph Munroe's bayside home from 1891, still stands on Main Highway and is the oldest home in Miami-Dade County still at its original location. Peacock Park and Kennedy Park line the waterfront, and several sailing and yacht clubs keep their base at the Grove marinas. Commercial life centers on CocoWalk, in a retail district a few blocks inland. Throughout the neighborhood, Coconut Grove homes for sale range from older wood-frame cottages to new builds.
