What will happen with Pompano Beach Macys?
The former Macy’s building at the Pompano Citi Centre mall could be redeveloped into apartments will that happen?
153,775-square-foot retail building, which was a Macy’s store has been closed for over two years now...
The developer The Morgan Group was seeking to rezone that 12+ acres land from “commercial” to “irregular residential," which would permit 356 apartments.
They worked with MSA Architects on the project.
The Sterling Organization had made the changes to other parts of Pompano Citi Centre. The former Sears department store building was redeveloped to accommodate multiple smaller tenants, while the former Sears auto building was replaced by an outparcel restaurant/retail building. Burlington and TJ Maxx had opened stores there.
