Tallest Tower Proposed for FLL

300 W Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

600-foot tower in Fort Lauderdale being proposed, which would be the tallest ever in the city. According to plans filed with the Federal Aviation Administration, the new tower would rise 596 feet above ground, or 600 feet above sea level.

Two temporary construction cranes are also set to be installed, at 646 and 647 feet above ground or 650 feet above sea level. The cranes were submitted under a separate application filed for the same site.

Both the crane and permanent tower height applications were submitted on November 11.

The tallest permanent height previously approved by the FAA in Fort Lauderdale is 515 feet above ground, or 519 feet above sea level for the recently completed 100 Las Olas tower. However, the actual roof height of that building is 499 feet, with the remaining height used for a lightning rod.

The project site appears to be land owned by a joint development between Kushner Companies and NYSE-listed Aimco. Aimco recently paid $25 million for a 51% stake in the property.

ODA is the design architect of the new towers.
