Monad terrace to starts closing soon!!
Jean Nouvel, the Pritzker Prize-winning architect, considered Miami’s climate and took steps to reduce the carbon footprint of the building when he designed Monad Terrace, his first project in Miami’s South Beach. The project features 59 luxury condominium residences, including a glamorous $7.1 million penthouse. Monad Terrace, which is developed by JDS Development Group ( same developer thats currently getting finalized the plans for the fire station highrise in Brickell), is designed to sit entirely above the flood plain and features a honeycomb screen integrated into the façade’s glass to reflect sunlight away from the building. The vertical gardens attached to the private terraces and patios help provide a natural climate, clean air and shade. Construction of Monad Terrace is well underway and scheduled to be completed by 2021.
Monad Terrace is a collection of 59 individually designed waterfront residences by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel. The French starchitect is best known for his iconic works such as the Louvre in Abu Dhabi and Foundation Cartier in Paris. This is his first residential project in Florida. Sculpted to deliver a play on daylight and water, the all-glass building rises 14 stories high around a central lagoon and features climbing gardens over its northern and southern façades for shade and privacy.
