New Hotels Coming to South Beach

The GoodTime hotel coming in 2021!

Pharrell & David Grutman have announced plans to open a new hotel in South Beach called The Goodtime Hotel.

The project has been years in the making, and is now nearing completion.

Plans to rebuild the entire 600 block of Washington Avenue were first submitted in early 2016, and construction on the project began in March 2018.

A historic structure was rebuilt with a brand new 266-room hotel above. It was first submitted to the city in 2016 with 312 micro-hotel units.

Andrew Joblon, a co-owner of Washington Squared, had teamed up with Imperial Companies on this project. Joblon also owns Turnbridge Equities, which purchased the buildings in 2015 for $36 million in anticipation of many new changes to the area. Morris Adjmi has designed the project, and Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates co-worked with him for the architectural plans.  

The Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board approved the development and will allow Washington Squared, the developers, to demolish and revamp several houses on the street.  

Being in the hotel will be like being in a Wes Anderson film .

There will be an indoor-outdoor eatery next to the third floor pool deck called Strawberry Moon.

There will also be a lobby lounge, recording studio, outdoor workout area, and 45,000 square feet of retail.

Morris Adjmi Architects, NBWW and Raymond Jungles are among those designing the project. G.T. McDonald is the contractor. Dreamscape is the lead developer.

Opening is scheduled for January 2021.

Boutique hotel Esmé Miami Beach set to debut March 2021.  The creation of El Salón, Bar Pintxo, and The Roof at Esmé gives rise to three dynamic outlets in the 145- room hotel that blends Miami sensibilities with a splash of timeless swagger.

The heartbeat of Esmé will be El Salón, located in the Esmé Village along the main paseo that connects the property's historic buildings. The lounge will serve an inspired menu of Miami's most iconic dishes, from arepas to empanadas to chicharron, all highlighting the Latin diversity of the Magic City. In the evening, the space will transform into an elegant cocktail bar, where guests can enjoy drinks featuring El Salón's exclusive proprietary spirit blends that elevate classic cocktails with a precision not yet seen in the bar world to date.  

The Roof at Esmé is a series of roof decks that feature a bar and restaurant, a pool, cabanas, and a wellness space. In the daytime, guests may take a yoga class, enjoy cold-pressed juices, or lounge by the pool sampling a selection of hand-crafted Sangrias like the Rioja Blanco (white peach, elderflower, and ginger) or Cava Brut (kiwi, raspberry, spearmint, calvados). An all-day menu of healthy and nutritious bowls, salads and sandwiches will be offered, and at night, The Roof will be the quintessential spot for revelry where guests can enjoy large format cocktails called Spirited Jugs of reimagined classics like the French 75 and Sparkling Paloma.
