Apartments, hotel rooms, and retail space on a site that touches both Hollywood and Dania Beach near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is super close to final approval.
The eight-story, 275-unit apartment complex will have 41 units, or 15 percent of the total, designated as rent-controlled affordable housing.Multifamily part is already approved.
Mobile park is going away as well. In the plans are also to build an adjacent 230-room hotel and 8,500 square feet of retail space on the Hollywood side of the 5.5-acre Harbor Landings development site, at 4500 South State Road 7, which is now mostly a surface parking lot.
Each phase of Harbor Landings would take two years to complete, and a ground-breaking would be scheduled later this year.
Just south of the Harbor Landings site, another mixed-use development is unfolding at the northeast corner of State Road 7 and Griffin Road. Companies led by Lon Tabatchnick and Donny Cohen are developing 441 Roc, a mix of 180 apartments and commercial components, including a convenience store and a fast-food restaurant.
