3139 Southwest 27th Avenue in Coconut Grove
2560 NW 20th st, Allapattah, Miami

The developers said they are considering building live-work units in Allapattah, and plan to have co-working space in the lobby. The existing building is currently leased to retail tenants. GlobalPro Ventures acquired the property in October for $1.9 million, records show.

The site is zoned T6-8, which means that they can build up to eight stories high with about 70 to 80 units.

Same developers  Daniel Odess and Matthew Sengsourinh, are  working  in the permitting process for the conversion of a six-unit townhouse building into an office building with ground-floor retail space in Coconut Grove. The property is north of new condo projects, such as Terra’s Grove at Grand Bay and Terra and Related Group’s Park Grove, as well as Treo Group’s Regatta Harbour mixed-use development.

The developers plan to restore and renovate old airplane hangars that were used in the early 1900s as the first Naval air station in the continental U.S. One hangar will be converted to marina storage and the other 20,000-square-foot hangar will likely become a gourmet food hall. We wrote  a separate blog with pictures on the Regatta Harbour earlier.
