Design District – Historic Buena Vista

We will have a separate blog about Buena Vista, which is directly to the north of this four-six blocks of sheer glamor.
This few blocks are really Craig Robins’ baby. And this kid is growing , mon. Craig Robins is a real estate developer, entrepreneur, Miami native and collector of art and design. Design District is the home for the Design and Architecture High School and Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. It houses over 60 boutique stores and art galleries.

Public art dotting the area includes the Fly’s Eye Dome, a geodesic dome designed by inventor Buckminster Fuller.

It is roughly bound by North 36 St (US 27) to the south, North 43rd Street to the north, West First Avenue to the west and Biscayne Boulevard to the east.

There are very few properties for sale here, mostly commercial and they go fast -definitely A+ area to invest. Starting prices for commercial small lots $695,000++ for demolition ready houses $400,000. Just a few blocks north in historic Buena Vista (which Design District really is a part of) starting prices for single family go $500,000++.
