Brownsville, aka Brown sub, was created in the 1920's and borders Liberty City to the North. As of 2010 its census was 15,313. in the 2010 the " Brownsville Transit Village" a $100 million residential complex was built that took five phases. Total of 96 affordable housing through the tax credit, 305 affordable elderly and 65 affordable rental units.Along the NW 27th Avenue Metro rail corridor, new buildings are being added and things are happening.

Condos are very scarce here -there are only four found on the realtors database all under $100,000 2/1 and 1/1 units all rentals deals. Prices for the single family residences vary since there are area touching Liberty City where they go down drastically to under $100,000 and there are pieces going up to Hialeah Gardens and touching Allapattah Highlands and adjacent Melrose Heights that fly all the way mid $200,000's. This are all great buy and hold deals, obviously with right price buy all are great flips.
